Paladin, the original, was sculptured by renowned artist Bettye Hamblen Turner. He is one of five in a series sculpted by Turner from stainless steel, carbon steel, and recycled motorcycle and car parts. Paladin has one more point of distinction, he was commandeered by our owners from none other than former President LBJ’s ranch in Stonewall, Texas. 

Our owners choose to name the big guy Paladin, after one of their all-time favorite TV heroes. If you watched TV in the ’60s, you know that “Paladin” was the code name for Richard Boone’s champion-for-hire on the best TV western show ever  - “Have Gun–Will Travel.”
